What is SharePoint 2010 Jbg Knowledge Group?
It's on a Monday night for people interested in SharePoint 2010. The meeting is aimed at technical architects and developers. The goal is to improve communication allowing technical folk to see how things can be done in SP2010.
On the night
- 18:00 - Registration
- 18:15 - Storing Data in SharePoint and LINQ to SharePoint presentation
- 19:00 - Break - Beer and pizza
- 19:15 - LINQ to SharePoint technical demonstrations
- 20:00 – SharePint or go home.
You will need the following:
- A basic understanding of SharePoint.
Sessions
Session 1
Presentation - Overview of data access in SharePoint. What are your options? Is SharePoint storage always the answer? What is LINQ to SharePoint? What is LINQ to SharePoint not good at? The 8 caveats to LINQ to SharePoint.
Session 2
Demonstrate LINQ to SharePoint 2010. Using Visual Studio creating a visual web part to perform CRUD operations on SharePoint lists.

If you’re a SharePoint architect, IT pro or developer and you fancy spending 2 hours with other like-minded people understanding SharePoint. Sign up.
This first event is limited to 20 candidates – so be quick.
